The program served as the fitting occasion to celebrate the college’s 55 years of existence with the theme “High Five at 55”. Honorees were cited due to their excellence in their field of expertise and the earnest efforts of carrying the Augustinian ideals of “Caritas et Scientia” and the Sebastinian values of community life, marian devotion, moral integrity and passion for excellence.
Honoring the distinguished alumni with plaques of recognition were Rev. Fr. Dionisio C. Cachero, OAR, Rev. Fr. Jorge D. Peligro, OAR and Dean Lolita A. De Guzman.

Summa Cum Laude
Mr. Reylando D Gamboa worked with Shell Group of Companies for 31 years. He was the Vice-President for Corporate Affairs in the same organization when he retired in the service.
He had a short stint in teaching management and accounting subjects at the then College of Commerce of SSC-R Manila. At present, he writes a column for the Philippine Star and also acts as television commentator and host for IBC-13. To his credit, he was also a former reviewer for the CPA Licensure Examination.
Mr. Gamboa’s outstanding professional achievements in the field of business and his valuable contribution to the growth of sports are recognized by the College of Accountancy, Business Administration, and Computer Studies (CABACS).
LEONARDO J. MATIGNAS, JR.,

Mr. Leonardo J. Matignas, Jr. is a partner of SYCIP, GORRES, VELAYO & CO.( a member practice of Earnst and Young) and one of the partner-in-charge of the Business Risk Services (BRS) and Fraud Investigation and Serice (FIDS).
After spending 15 years in financial audit, Mr. Matignas started two new practices in the Business Process Risk Consulting (now BRS) and Business Fraud & Investigation Services (now FIDS). In 1997 he became the first Asian partner who joined the World Wide team who developed a new audit methodology, which is risk-based, and process focused. He then became a member of the Asia Pacific partner expert network and had been the consultant to other offices in the region.
Mr. Matignas is a well-traveled man, having visited the United States, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, United Kingdom, France and Malaysia to name a few, because of his 25 years of experience as a business adviser.
The College of Accountancy, Business Administration and Computer Studies (CABACS) recognizes his outstanding achievements and contributions in the accountancy profession here and abroad. His continued support to the department through seminars, assistance in the school’s practicum subjects and curriculum development and faithful embodiment of the Augustinian ideals of “Caritas et Scientia” is worthy to be emulated.
REYNALDO JESUS B. PASCO, ST.
Batch 1972
Marketing
Mr. Reynaldo Jesus B. Pasco, Sr. Finished BSC Major in Marketing in 1972. Mr. Pasco is the owner and president of Park Developers Inc. and Budget Outlet Branches, Inc. He is also managing their family-owned businesses such as PSP Development Corporation, Felicima Realty and Development Corporation and Hillton Realty and Development Corporation. Their countless construction projects are mostly composed of subdivisions, memorial parks, and commercial complex which are situated in Luzon and the Visayas.
Mr. Pasco has been actively involved in clubs, namely: Porsche Sports Car Club and Rizal Shooter’s Club. He is also the Chairman of Santolan Elementary School Alumni Association in Pasig City and was a member of Adoracion Nocturna of Rotary Club of Biak na Bato.
His outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the growth and development of the real estate business in the Philippine is duly recognized by the College of Accountancy, Business Administration and Computer Studies (CABACS). His passion for excellence and dedication to his craft made him a good role model to all
Sebastians.
CESAR “CEZ” C. VELARDE
Batch 1971
Marketing
Mr. Cesar C. Velarde obtained the degree in BSC major in Marketing in 1971. He also took up his high school, Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Master’s degree in the same school. He was the first president of the Central Student Government Supreme Council and was awarded the “Outstanding Student Council Officer” in the field of Leadership in 1971.
Mr. Velarde worked as a credit investigator at Metrobank, then became Assistant Vice-President, the highest position he obtained when he joined the banking and finance industry. He was commissioned to be part of the 15-man Metrobank management staff, a special group formed to study the re-organization of Metrobank from an ordinary bank to a universal bank. His dedication and hard work was then given credit when he became the recipient of a special study grant to the SGV Management Training Centre in 1979-1980.
At present, Mr. Velarde is into consultancy specializing in Financial and Paralegal for various small and medium businesses, developing projects, and financing firms.

FRANCIS J. KONG
Batch 1978
Management
Magna Cum Laude
Mr. Francis J. Kong received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Management in 19789. He was a Golden Stag Awardee and a Magna Cum Laude graudate.
He has already written ten inspirational books and hosts a radio program called “Business
Matters”. He is a business columnist of the Phlippine Star and a segment host of ABS-CBN’s “Umagang Kay Ganda”.
Moreover, he is a co-recipient of the Anvil Award for Excellence for the staging of the Dr. John Maxwell Leadership Seminar Series. He also became the recipient of the 2006 Gold Quill Philippines Award for the public speech category sponsored by the International Association of Business Communicators. He was also a 2008 Dr. Jose Rizal Awardee for Excellence in field of Journalism.
Mr. Kong has been trained and licensed by Maximum Impact of Atlanta Georgia to do the Maxwell Leadership Programs and by the Ziglar Corporation in London to do the Ziglar Sales and Presentation Programs.

His outstanding professional achievements here and abroad coupled by his selfless dedication to his vocation made him an inspiring model for every Sebastinian.
VICENTE T. SUAZO, JR.
Batch 1967
Management
Mr. Vicente T. Suazo, Jr. graduated with the degree in BSC Major in Management in 1967. He began his government service when he joined the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in July of 1967. Then on June 1968, he worked as Port Administration Assistant for the Office of the Special Commissioner on Port Adminstration.
Mr. Suazo’s exemplary performance and dedication to his work resulted to his appointment to higher position. His job in the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) as the Assistant General Manager for Operation opened the doors for the adoption of innovative programs for the improvement of port services in the country.
He represented the country in several meetings and symposia in the Philippines and in the international community. He was the Secretary General of the ASEAN Port Authorities Association (APAA) from 1988-1990.
His valuable contributions to the development and improvement of delivery of port services in the Philippines are recognized by the College of Accountancy, Business Administration and Computer Studies (CABACS). The values of a true Sebastian coupled with passion for excellence, service, love and community life are what Mr. Suazo’s endeavors are all about. These are worthy of emulation.
MAYOR ALDRIN L. SAN PEDRO
(City of Muntinlupa)

Management
The honorable Mayor Aldrin L. San Pedro graduated with the degree in BSC Major in Management in 1996.
Mayor San Pedro was molded to be a public servant at an early age. He was first an SK Chairman then became a Councilor. He was elected as Vice-Mayor and Mayor of Muntinlupa up to the present time. He carries good leadership because of his intellect and political gift in serving the public.
Mayor San Pedro promotes unity and discipline as what his slogan suggests: Muntinlupa.. Nagkakaisa.. May Disiplina!” In addition, the leadership of Mayor San Pedro emphasizes the equality and fairness in responding to the needs of the people regardless of their socio-economic stature.
As a public servant, Mayor San Pedro was awarded with numerous recognitions and medals from the different private and government organizations. The Metro Manila South Council and the Councilors League of the Philippines recognized him as an Outstanding Leader of the Philippines.
In the field of Public Service, the College of Accountancy, Business Administration and Computer Studies (CABACS) recognizes Mayor San Pedro’s outstanding achievements, his dynamic leadership and selfless dedication to serve coupled by his altruistic efforts in bring innovative reforms in the City of Muntinlupa. Truly, the people of Muntinlupa and the college are proud of you.
CARLO V. PONDOC
Batch 1993
Computer Science
Magna Cum Laude
Mr. Carlo V. Pondoc obtained his BSC Major in Computer Science, Magna Cum Laude in 1993. Among the awards he reaped included Golden Stag Awardee, PACSB Awardee, and Plaque of Merit for Academic Excellence.
At present he is finishing his Master of Science degree in Information Management at the Ateneo Information Technology Institute. His more than 15 years experience in the IT industry has developed his technical expertise in the software, hardware, programming languages and operation systems.
Mr. Pondoc is presently the programming manager of Computer Packages, Inc. in Rockville, Maryland, USA where he earned extensive knowledge in the filed of Information Technology. He is responsible for various software development projects and takes major part in numerous projects which consistently exceeded customer satisfaction which made him an asses of the organization.
Mr. Pondoc did not only excel academically but also dedicated his life college life actively in extra-curricular activities as president of the Supreme Student Government.
The College of Accountancy, Business Administration and Computer Studies (CABACS) recognizes his significant contributions in the field of IT/CS. His excellent leadership, perseverance and his result-oriented personality provide inspiration to all Sebastinians.
ANTHONY KIRBY GARCIA
Batch 1998
Computer Science
Mr. Anthony Kirby Garcia graduated with the degree in BS Computer Science in 1998 and attained his Masters of Science degree in Information Technology with remarkable grades. He even made it to the dean’s list and topped various computer classes at the Ateneo de Manila University.
Mr. Garcia started as a programmer/analyst and worked his way up to being an IT consultant and ultimately becoming the head of the IT department for several local, government-related and multinational corporations.
He recently authored a book entitled “Managing Information Systems through IT” which is now available at all Rex Bookstores nationwide. Presently, he is working as IT Manager of ANSCOR and is also teaching major IT courses at St. Joseph’s College, Quezon City and at SSC-R Manila.
